Barred Owl Gets Locked Up in Roof Rack, Rescued by Firefighters

Recently, they helped free a Barred Owl that had flown into the roof rack of a vehicle. The motorist reported the incident after driving around midnight. The owl was stuck on the rack and was unable to free itself.

The Winter Park Fire Department quickly arrived on the scene to help the stranded owl. They safely freed the bird from the roof rack and checked it over for injuries. Fortunately, the owl appeared to be unharmed and was able to fly off into the night sky.

The fire department shared the story on their Facebook page, writing, "Quite certain that both motorist and owl were a little stunned by the whole experience, but just thankful we were able to help." The post was accompanied by a photo of the owl perched on a firefighter's arm before being released.
